“What about bad weather?”
Let me start by saying: I plan weddings in Colorado all year-round and 95% of my weddings are outdoors without an indoor back-up option. In the traditional wedding world, not having a backup plan is unheard of. However, with microweddings, the smaller group size and lack of decorations makes poor weather more manageable.
My Team (officiant, photographer, etc.)––we do weddings all year round rain or shine, if the roads are open, we make it happen!
You & Your Guests––umbrellas, proper clothing, and a positive mindset go a long way. It’s important to keep in mind that the ceremony itself only goes for 10-15 minutes and you can always warm up in the car before photos.
Don’t worry about the photos!
Overcast skies, rain, and even snow make for beautiful photos as long as you two are comfortable and having fun :)
Wanna play it safe?
I do have some nice indoor venues in the Denver area!
“What’s the weather going to be like?”
Colorado is known for “300 days of sunshine a year,” and we do weddings outside ALL YEAR round!
Generally speaking… Mid-May thru Mid-October is the “Peak” wedding season in Colorado and known for good weather.
We get snow Mid-October thru Mid-May, with the most snowfall February/March.
Colorado weather is very volatile, don’t expect to have an accurate forcast more than 72 hours out.
