Botanic Gardens Permits, Rules & FAQs

Best Month, Day & Time

The Denver Botanic Gardens are open all year around, and we do weddings here in every season! Generally speaking though, mid-June through mid-October is the “peak” wedding season in Colorado, and that tends to be when the weather is most comfortable, but it’s really just personal preference.

Best Ceremony Site in the Botanic Gardens

The Woodland Mosaic is hands down the best ceremony site in the Denver Botanic Gardens for small weddings and elopements. It’s private, allows seating, fits up to 50 people, and creates a stunning atmosphere for photos.

Cost to Reserve the Woodland Mosaic

The Woodland Mosaic at the Denver Botanic Gardens, costs $2500 for a 1 hour rental. After the ceremony and group photos, you’re allowed to go elsewhere in the park to do photos.

Max Group Sizes

The Woodland Mosaic has a max group size of 50 people.

Parking & Accessibility

The Denver Botanic Gardens have a designated parking facility, and the Woodland Mosaic is handicap accessible.

Photo Spots

The Woodland Mosaic is perfect for the ceremony and group photos, after that your photographer will lead you around the gardens to do your portrait session with the flowers, ponds, and other features.

Marriage License

In order to get legally married in Colorado, you’ll need a marriage license. This process is very simple, and with my planning, I provide easy step-by-step guidance!

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Chairs and decorations are allowed.

Planning, Vendors, & License
I connect you with my team of world-class vendors (photographer, officiant, etc.) based on your preferences. I’ll coordinate the logistics for the day, and provide guidance on obtaining the marriage license.

Step 5
Get Married!
You’ll meet up with my day-of vendors at the Denver Botanic Gardens (like photographer/officiant) and they will lead the day! You’ll have a simple ceremony, followed by a photo session around the gardens! Your officiant will then sign the marriage license, and it’s off to celebrate (usually) at a local restaurant - I’ll provide some great recommendations!
