My top pick!
Option 5
Near Summit County, CO
+$240 Travel fee
1.5 hours from Denver
Supports up to 6 guests
Only accessible June 15 - October 30
No seating, music, or decorations allowed
This is a high alpine environment with volatile weather conditions, and can be very windy. Additionally the location requires a 5min walk on a dirt trail, and may require stepping over a small “stream”. While this location is also popular, it is big enough that we are able to hike in a bit and get away from people.

Option 6
Near Idaho Springs, CO
+$120 travel fee
1 hour from Denver
Supports up to 6 guests
Only accessible June 15 - October 30
No seating, music, or decorations allowed
This is a smaller area than Option 5, and generally doesn’t have a lot of people in the area. I personally like Option 5 because of the alpine lakes, but this option has a nice “Top of the World” vibe.
Option 7
NEAR ESTES PARK, CO
+$240 TRAVEL FEE
1.5 hours from Denver | $120 Travel Fee
Supports up to 6 guests
No seating, music, or decorations allowed
This is generally not a very busy spot, but it is right on the edge of town so some people will be in the area.

The fastest way to get married in Colorado is to simply go into a County Clerk’s office, and file a marriage license. There is no officiant or witnesses required. However, if you want to make a moment of it, many couples choose to add on an officiant to lead the ceremony, and a photographer to capture the day at a local park our mountaintop.

Yes! In Colorado (most) counties allow a dog to paw print the marriage license to act as a witness.
