Why Colorado MicroWeddings?

Colorado MicroWeddings is the highest rated elopement company in Colorado, having helped 500+ couples over the past seven years, and earning 300+ five-star reviews on Google. We’ve also earned pro badges both The Knot, and WeddingWire, and maintain a perfect five-star rating on Google.

This is not some random online directory, or faceless coorporation. Colorado MicroWeddings is owned and operated by its founder Iver Marjerison. Who answers all the calls, plans all the weddings, and also runs the website (I’m writing this in 3rd person for some reason lol).

Denver Colorado

This beautiful mountain overlook is located just outside of Denver, and offers dynamic mountain views. Conveniently located near the parking, it’s easy to get to, and open all year around!

Chautauqua Park

Located near Boulder, Colorado, this park offers breathtaking views of the iconic flatiron mountains. It’s easy to get to, and has plenty of space to walk explore! This location requires an annual photography permit, but we have one, and don’t charge you for it.

Garden of the Gods

This famous park is located just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and offers epic views of the sweeping red rock formations. The spot we use is just off the parking area, and is open all year around. Plenty of room to roam if you want more photos!

Breckenridge, Colorado

This elopement site is located near Breckenridge, Colorado, and offers beautiful views of evergreen forests, mountain peaks, and crystal clear lakes. It’s a great spot for small groups who want a simple mountain elopement experience!

Mountain Pass

This mountain pass, about an hour from Denver, offers beautiful alpine lakes, and dynamic mountain views. It’s national forest land, which doesn’t require a permit, and offers plenty of room to hike and explore for different views!

Idaho Springs

Last Minute Elopement FAQs

What is the fastest way to get married in Colorado?

The fastest way to get married in Colorado is to simply go into a County Clerk’s office, and file a marriage license. There is no officiant or witnesses required. However, if you want to make a moment of it, many couples choose to add on an officiant to lead the ceremony, and a photographer to capture the day at a local park our mountaintop.

Is an officiant required?

No, a wedding officiant is not legally required to get married in Colorado. But many people doing mountaintop elopements in the area choose to have an officiant assist with writing and performing the ceremony, and signing the marriage license.

Can my dog sign the marriage license?

Yes! In Colorado (most) counties allow a dog to paw print the marriage license to act as a witness.

What is the best spot to elope in Colorado?

Colorado has a variety of mountains, parks, streams, lakes, and venues for small weddings. For last minute elopements, the quickest and easiest option is to use a park or public land that does not require a permit or reservation. I’ve scouted most of the state and have some of my favorite spots listed above! These small wedding and elopement locations are perfect for Denver, Breckenridge, Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods area), Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park area), and Boulder.

What is the best time of year to elope in Colorado?

People elope all year around in Colorado! Mid-June through Mid-October is the most popular season with generally warm consistent conditions. Mid-October - Mid-June will experience potential winter/snow conditions, with March being the snowiest month of the year.

How much does it cost to elope in Colorado?

Technically you can elope for the cost of the marriage license, which is $35. But if you want to add some more flare to the day, we have elopement packages starting at $1,300 that include the photography, officiant and planning!

What kind of weddings and couples do you work with?

Colorado Micro-Wedding and Elopement services are for anyone—regardless of state residency, culture, age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, and/or sexual orientation. My vendors and I strive to create a comfortable space for all couples, and are proud to serve the LGBTQ+ community.

How long does it take to plan a Colorado Elopement?

It depends on the variables! But generally we can plan a simple elopement in about 24 hours.
