Colorado Microweddings

While my remote planning services can help weddings of any size save time and money, they have been specifically created to cater to the needs of small weddings, and particularly those looking for something more simple and budget-friendly.

My planning cost is $400 - $500
The average wedding coordinator in Colorado costs $1,500+
Traditional wedding coordinators offer a lot of things that my planning doesn’t, but they also offer a lot of things that small/simple weddings don’t need. For most micro-weddings and elopements, my service is all the professional planning help needed for a beautiful and stress-free day!

What you get with my planning…

Vendor Coordination
You tell me what vendors you want from my list, then I find the best available option and connect you with them! I also coordinate to make sure everyone understands the “where/when” logistics of the day.

Discounts & Packages
On my pricing page you’ll see the prices that I am able to get for my couples. Most of these are custom discount packages that my vendors offer exclusively to my couples.

Marriage License & Permits
I provide general information regarding acquiring the marriage license, as well as any needed permits for the ceremony.

Ceremony Site & Reception Suggestions
I work with three dozen different microwedding-friendly locations, ranging from parks and overlooks to breweries and wedding venues. I work with you to find the best fit for your day! You can see a complete preview of these on my location page.

Guides
With any of my packages, you’ll receive a copy of my Dining/Catering Guide, Decor/Rental Guide, Transportation Guide, and Lodging Guide. I do not “Coordinate” these aspects of the day, but offer these resources to help steer you in the right direction. These guides cover the following areas: Denver, Breckenridge, Estes Park, Colorado Springs, and Boulder.

need more help?

—If you have 30+ guests (and definitely if you have 50+)
—If you are planning a more traditional reception (not just a simple celebratory dinner)
—If you want a planner physically present on the day of your wedding
—If you want someone to help decorate
—If you want someone to create a seating chart
—If you want someone to create a reception timeline (Ex: Cake Cutting at 6:15pm)
—If you want someone to help organize a formal full bridal-party processional

You may want to consider adding-on the additional support of one of my “Day-of Coordinators”!

FAQs

What will my day look like?

Groups with less than 30 people
For groups like this, I suggest doing the ceremony at a park, mountain overlook, or rental home. For the dinner/“reception” we can find a private space at a local restaurant or brewery, or bring in catering to your rental home. Once I’ve been hired, I provide a list of group dining options and caterers.

Groups with more than 30 people
For groups of this size, parks and mountain overlooks get a bit more limited, but it’s still possible! Unfortunately, larger groups tend to be more affected by poor weather, and many parks limit the total amount of guests allowed. Instead, I recommend renting the ceremony site at a wedding venue for a couple of hours. As for the reception, a restaurant or brewery can work, but if you want more space for hanging out/dancing, renting an event space may be the best option. Depending on your budget, we may be able to do both the ceremony and reception at a traditional wedding venue.

how do I get my cake/flowers?

If you choose to use my florist, you’ll have the choice to pick them up yourself, or pay $40 to have your officiant/photographer deliver them to you on the day of the wedding! Vendor delivery is not available for cakes, but I have a list of bakeries that make pickup nice and easy :)

Who can use your planning services?

Anyone! Regardless of where you are from, or the type of wedding you envision—I’m here to help. My services (along with those of all of the vendors that I work with) are happily offered to all couples regardless of age, ethnicity, culture, religion, and/or sexual orientation.

what areas of colorado do you work?

In theory, I can coordinate vendors anywhere (including the moon) for the right price. But my team is based in Denver, so generally speaking we work in the following areas: Denver, Boulder, Estes Park, and Colorado Springs (+30ish miles). If you have a location not on this list, please contact me for details on travel pricing and potential vendor limitations.

When should I start planning?

I help plan weddings a day in advance, and weddings more than a year in advance (most microweddings are planned 3 weeks to 8 months in advance). However, vendor and venue availability can get limited. For this reason, I recommend securing your wedding location and vendors as soon as possible. Generally speaking, the earlier you start planning, the more options (and peace of mind!) you will have.

Do I get to choose my vendors?

I work with a small group of awesome wedding pros, including a half dozen photographers and officiants, one stylist group, and three florists. If you don’t like the vendors I provide, I’ll be happy to try and find an alternative option, however, I do work with a small team, so options may be limited based on availability. If you are looking to really have a ton of options for your day, you may want to consider a more traditional wedding coordinator who works from a catalog with hundreds of different vendors—this really isn’t my style. I prefer to work with vendors who I know and trust!

What about bad weather?

I plan weddings in Colorado all year around and 95% of my weddings are outdoors without an indoor back-up option. Unfortunately, most of the parks and mountains that offer the most dynamic natural beauty for the ceremony simply do not offer cover.

You will find more information about weather on the “When” page.

best time for a wedding?

While May to October are the peak wedding months in Colorado, I plan weddings all year around! For time of day, we can make anything work, but photography lighting rule of thumb: avoid noon (11-2), aim for mornings and evenings. Sunrise and (1-2 hours before) sunset are the best.

You will find more information about the best time for your wedding on the “When” page.

Do i pay you for everything?

The wedding professionals that I work with are not my employees, they work for themselves and handle their own payment. I simply negotiate packages and prices and connect you with them. The only payment paid to me, is my planning fee.

How often do we talk?

As much as you want! I pride myself on quick and efficient communication. I personally strive to respond to all emails/texts/calls within 1-3 hours, 12 hours a day (12pm-12am), 7 days a week.

Do you work on commission?

Nope! The only money I receive is the planning fee ($400 - $500) that you pay me. Commission or “kickbacks” do not incentivize my vendor/venue selection, I work with them based on their professionalism and quality of work.

Will you (iver) be my officiant?

While I would love to personally officiate every wedding that I plan, unfortunately, I’m afraid my availability becomes limited. In these cases, I have a team of awesome professional officiants who will be sure to take good care of you. If you’d like to check my personal availability before booking, just ask! Please keep in mind—what you pay for my planning services does NOT include the cost of an officiant.

Do we meet in person?

The vast majority of the couples that I work with are not from Colorado, and do not visit prior to their ceremony. For this reason, all of my planning work is done remotely. However, if I am ALSO the officiant for your day, then obviously we would meet in person :)

But I have my own photographer?

…or Officiant? … or Florist?

That’s great! The usage of my vendors is not required. You pick and choose who/what you’d like my help with—only pay for what you need!

What about the marriage license & permits?

Regardless of where you live, you’ll be obtaining a Colorado Marriage License.

Don't worry, I'll provide all this information, and make the process simple. As long as you are in Colorado on at least one weekday, we will be able to take care of the marriage license (assuming you are qualified to be legally married). Required ceremony permits vary by location, but I’ll assist to make sure we get everything in order.
